Peptide Calc Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Summit Research L.L.C. (“Summit Research”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the Peptide Calc mobile application, its widgets, and its related web endpoints (together, the “App”). It applies only to the App. Our website, summitresearch.store, has its own Privacy Policy that governs purchases and browsing there. Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy covers “consumer health data” as defined by Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and similar state laws.

1. Summary

  • Your calculations, protocols, dose logs, injection sites, notes and vial dates stay on your device. The App does not transmit them to us or to anyone else, and we have no ability to access them.
  • The only personal information the App ever sends us is your email address and, optionally, your first name — and only if you choose to join our mailing list.
  • The App has no user accounts, no advertising, no advertising or analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers, and does not “track” you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

2. Information the App stores only on your device

To do its job the App stores the following locally, in Apple’s on-device application storage and, for widgets, in an App Group container that only the App and its own widget extension can read:

  • Calculator inputs: peptide name, vial amount, water volume, dose, syringe size, vial price.
  • Saved protocols, schedules, titration steps, reminder times and time-zone settings.
  • Logged doses, injection sites, notes, and vial reconstitution dates.
  • Preferences (sound, haptics, travel settings) and a small summary for widgets.

We never receive this information. It is not uploaded to any server we control, is not stored in iCloud by the App, and is not used for advertising, marketing or data mining of any kind. Deleting the App from your device deletes it. Your own iOS device backups (iCloud Backup or computer backups) may include the App’s data under your Apple settings, which you control. If you use the App’s Export feature, the file you create is yours and is shared only where you send it.

3. Information you may choose to send us: mailing-list sign-up

The App offers an optional sign-up for the Summit Research mailing list. If you complete it, the App sends the following over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our website server, which forwards it to our email service provider:

We do not send any calculator input, dose, schedule, log, or other health-related information with the sign-up. The sign-up request contains only the fields above.

Sign-up is entirely optional. Every feature of the App works without it. We do not condition access to any feature on providing personal information, other than sending the discount code itself to the email address you give us.

4. Who receives that information (our service providers)

We share sign-up information only with providers that process it on our behalf under contracts that restrict their use of it:

  • Our web host (Bluehost, United States) — runs the summitresearch.store server that receives the sign-up.
  • Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France; servers in the EU) — stores the mailing list and sends our emails.
  • WooCommerce / WordPress on our site — stores the referral coupon code linked to your email.
  • Apple — distributes the App and delivers local notifications; Apple does not receive your sign-up information from us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order, to protect our rights or safety or those of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (in which case this Policy will continue to apply to the transferred information). We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months.

5. Information we do not collect

The App does not collect: health or fitness data (it stays on your device — see Section 2), precise or coarse location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), usage analytics, crash reports through third parties, or purchase history. The App does not use HealthKit. The App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track.

6. Website links and template downloads

The App links to pages on summitresearch.store (shop, certificates of analysis, contact, terms). When you open a link, your browser makes an ordinary web request to our site, which receives standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) governed by the website Privacy Policy. Links from the App include a tag (for example utm_source=peptide_calc_app) so we can measure how many visits come from the App; this tag contains no personal information.

When launched, the App may download a list of protocol templates from our website. That request contains no personal information beyond the standard request data any web request includes.

7. Notifications and widgets

Reminders are scheduled locally by the App on your device using Apple’s notification framework. They are not sent from any server, and we cannot see whether, when, or how you respond to them. Widgets display a summary computed on your device. You control both in iOS Settings.

8. Retention

  • Mailing-list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we discontinue the list. After an unsubscribe we keep only a suppression record (your email address) so we do not email you again, as email law requires.
  • Referral coupon records are kept while the referral program runs and for up to 3 years afterwards for accounting purposes.
  • On-device data is retained by your device until you delete it or delete the App.

9. Security

Sign-up requests are encrypted in transit (TLS). Our web endpoint validates each request with a shared secret and rate-limits abuse. On-device data is protected by iOS data protection and your device passcode. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we collect the minimum necessary to reduce risk. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and any regulators as applicable law requires.

10. Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or by emailing us. We honour opt-outs within 10 business days.
  • Access, correct or delete your email address, name and referral code by emailing Support@summitresearch.store with the subject “Peptide Calc privacy request”. We will verify the request by replying to the email address on file and respond within 30 days (45 days where the law allows).
  • Export or delete on-device data yourself at any time: More → Export, or delete the App.
  • We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

11. Region-specific disclosures

California (CCPA/CPRA)

In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 3 (identifiers: email address, name) directly from you, for the purposes listed there, and disclosed them only to the service providers in Section 4. We do not sell or “share” personal information, do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by law, and do not engage in profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. Whether or not Summit Research meets the CCPA’s applicability thresholds, we honour the rights to know, delete, correct, opt-out, and limit, and the right to non-discrimination, as described in Section 10. Authorised agents may submit requests with your written permission. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals; we honour Global Privacy Control signals on our website where technically applicable.

Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and other consumer-health-data laws

Please see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. In short: the App does not collect, share or sell consumer health data; it stays on your device.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Summit Research L.L.C., 7784 W 11th St, Unit #87, Tracy, CA 95304, USA, is the controller of sign-up information. Our legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us; withdrawal does not affect processing before withdrawal. Information is transferred to the United States (our web host) and to the EU (Brevo). For transfers out of the EEA/UK we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Addendum with our providers. You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We do not process special-category data (health data never leaves your device). We do not make automated decisions with legal effects. Our EU/UK representative: not required — we do not target the EU/UK market.

Canada

We collect sign-up information with your express consent and comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every commercial email we send identifies us and includes an unsubscribe mechanism.

Other jurisdictions

If your state or country grants additional privacy rights (for example Virginia, Colorado, Texas, Oregon, Australia, Brazil), email us and we will honour them to the extent they apply.

12. HIPAA

Summit Research L.L.C. is not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Information you enter into the App is not “protected health information” under HIPAA, and we do not create, receive, maintain or transmit it. Please do not send us medical records or health information by email; we do not need them to help you.

13. Children

The App is intended for adults 18 and older and is rated 17+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (or under 13 for purposes of COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us with an email address, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The effective date at the top will change, and for material changes we will notify you in the App or by email (if you are on our list) before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Policy applies.
